12100 Collective is a new growth marketing agency based in NYC, founded by an alumni of Meta’s growth team and servicing clients with >$100M in annual revenue across industries. This role is responsible for leading performance-focused SEO strategies across multiple client accounts. As our SEO Lead , you’ll be responsible for everything from technical audits and site structure to content strategy and on-page execution. You’ll collaborate closely with our growth, content, design, and dev teams to deliver best-in-class organic strategies that directly impact business results.

This is a hands-on, senior-level role with room to grow into a team leadership position. Ideal candidates bring deep SEO expertise, strong analytical skills, comfort working across stakeholders, and the ability to turn complexity into results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead SEO efforts across multiple client accounts, including technical, content, and strategic execution

     
  • Conduct technical audits, identify issues, and implement fixes to improve crawlability, indexing, and overall site health

     
  • Own keyword research, topic clustering, and content roadmap development for organic growth

     
  • Build internal linking strategies and manage schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and mobile UX improvements

     
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, dev, content, paid) to align SEO with overall marketing strategy

     
  • Monitor and report on performance using GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and other tools

     
  • Educate internal teams and clients on evolving SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices

     
  • Work with analytics to attribute SEO performance to revenue impact, build reporting dashboards, and drive continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of PR, domain score,  and related back-linking strategies (but will not need to handle PR personally)

     

Minimum Requirements

  • 6–10 years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally in a performance marketing agency or startup/growth environment

     
  • Deep knowledge of technical SEO including site architecture, crawling/indexing, structured data, Core Web Vitals, and sitemaps

     
  • Strong grasp of on-page and off-page SEO, including content strategy, backlinks, and optimization frameworks

     
  • Comfortable with SEO tools such as GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush etc.

     
  • Proficiency in Excel/Sheets for data analysis; Looker Studio, Tableau, or dashboarding tools a plus

     
  • Hands-on experience with GEO and AI across incorporating it appropriately into key workflows to ranking in AI modules

     
  • Experience collaborating with engineers, designers, content teams, and senior stakeholders

     
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; client-facing experience preferred

     
  • Proven track record of driving organic growth and influencing business outcomes

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with international SEO, local SEO, or SEO for headless CMS/e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, Webflow, BigCommerce)

     
  • Basic familiarity with HTML/CSS and how frontend frameworks impact SEO

     
  • Background in analytics, BI tools, custom ranking tools, or basic coding (SQL, Python, etc.)

     
  • Broader marketing exposure (SEM, Paid Social, CRO, content marketing)
  • Strong creative eye: able to ideate winning copy, visual design, and overall brand positioning

Salary / Benefits / Location

  • Salary: $125,000 – $175,000, depending on experience and qualifications
