This position is an onsite role based in our Huntsville, AL location. **What You Will Do:** + Support one or more phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC): requirements, design, development, test, verification, validation, and maintenance. + Support research and development activities and/or programs of record. + Work with a team of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment. **What You Will Learn:** + Agile methodology and a tool set that supports software development. + Modern Development Security Operation (DevSecOps) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques (CI/CD). + Test-Driven Multi-Disciplined Capability (TDMC) Product Development methodology. + A variety of domains such as battle management, command & control, communications, radar, missile, and/or modeling & simulation. + Work across engineering disciplines to develop complex problems in support of defense systems. **Qualifications You Must Have:** + Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. + Experience developing object-oriented software using C++. + Experience with Modeling and Simulation (M&S), Radar, or related domain. + The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. **Qualifications We Prefer:** + Experience with developing, testing, and integrating software using C++ / Java or other modern software development language. + Experience with OOA/D and UML or similar design language/notation. + Familiarity with Agile or working knowledge of lifecycle processes including Scrum, and Continuous Integration. + Skills to handle fast pace and dynamic product development environment including engagement with systems and electrical engineers. + Experience working closely and directly within a team environment. + Demonstrated leadership and self-directed attributes. + Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite (e.g., Bitbucket, Confluence, Crucible, Fisheye, Jira), Jenkins, Eclipse, etc. **What We Offer** + Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
